Fume Extraction Systems

PF&F offer a full design, manufacture and installation fume extraction system service for our Fume Cupboards.

All fume extraction systems are designed in accordance with BS 7258 : 1994 and conform to the specifications contained in DW 154.

Fume extraction systems are installed as standard in grey uPVC using pre-formed tube and press moulded bends and in-house fabricated sheet materials with all joints fusion welded.

All or part of the uPVC ductwork can be coated with a flame retardant glass reinforced plastic 4oz tissue wrap to conform with fire regulations and provide extra rigidity and prevent damage. Extract systems can also be installed in fire retardant polypropylene.

Standard fan units are centrifugal types driven by a pulley and belt arrangement, manufactured from polypropylene, with a forward curved bladed impeller, with motors suitable for single or three phase supplies. Direct drive and in-line fan units are also available.

All fume extraction systems can be provided with attenuation/silencers to achieve specific noise readings. Fabricated or ‘Safe Change’ HEPA Filtration can also be provided with the ductwork runs.
